Part of the Palia group of hotels, the 3 star Aparthotel Puerto del Sol is situated around 800 metres from the Cala Egos beach in the popular resort of Cala d'or on the southern east coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 60km east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and around 100 metres from the picturesque Cala d'or marina where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1986 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2014, the modern low rise Aparthotel Puerto del Sol has a total 230 one and two bedroomed self catering apartments, which are distributed between 4 three storey accommodation blocks and set amidst almost 15,000m2 of sun terraces and Mediterranean style gardens around a central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette with electric cooking rings, fridge and microwave oven, as well as a combined lounge/dining room with two sofa-beds, satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a choice of 3 large outdoor freshwater swimming pools with separate children's pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Aparthotel Puerto del Sol also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring archery, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
