Part of the A Z Group of hotels, the 4 star Hotel Canyamel Classic is situated around 50 metres from the beach in the quiet Canyamel district of the north east coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 65km north east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and 7km to the south of the lively resort of Cala Ratjada where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1973 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 1999, the modern Hotel Canyamel Classic has a total of 135 guest rooms, including 120 standard twin rooms and a further 15 singles, which are built over 7 floors and set amidst almost 2,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the Hotel Canyamel Classic are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a daily maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an a buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as laundry and medical services, a games room, public internet terminals and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel Canyamel Classic also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Health and Fitness Centre, which features a further indoor heated swimming pool with sauna and Jacuzzi.

The Hotel Canyamel Classic also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment, with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
