Part of the Universal Group of hotels, the 3 star Hotel Marques has an enviable beach front location, in the quiet secluded resort of Colonia Sant Jordi on the south east coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 40km south east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and a short walk from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a small selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1967, the modern Hotel Marques has a total of 196 guest rooms, including 144 standard twin rooms and a further 52 singles, which are built over 5 floors and set amidst spacious sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the sea.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, refrigerator, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the sea. In addition to the above a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Marques also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, which is fully equipped with a selection of the latest state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a hard surface tennis court located approximately 150 metres from the hotel in the Villa Marquesa area of the resort.

The Hotel Marques also provides a seasonal programme of daytime activities, including guided walking excursions from the hotel, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
