Hotel Platja d'Or - Alcudia

The 3 star Hotel Platja d'Or is situated around 50 metres from the beach in the popular resort of Alcudia on the north coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 60km north of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and 1km from the commercial centre of the resort with its selection of bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife.

The modern low rise Hotel Platja d'Or has a total of 244 guest rooms, including 232 standard twin rooms and a further 12 superior suites, which are built over 5 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a terrace or balcony, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, the superior rooms at the hotel are located in separate buildings near the beach and consist of one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, two bathrooms and an open plan kitchenette with refrigerator. Superior rooms have stairs and no lift, and have all have the facilities of standard rooms plus tea/coffee making facilities, bathrobes and flowers, along with complimentary fruit and wine on arrival.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

The Hotel Platja d'Or also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
