Part of the prestigious Grupotel Group of hotels, the 4 star Hotel Playa Camp de Mar is situated around 300 metres from the Golf de Andratx golf course, in the exclusive resort of Camp de Mar on the south west coast of Majorca. With grounds that front onto the wide sandy resort beach, the hotel is approximately 35km west of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and around 100 metres from the centre of the resort where you will find a selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1970 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2001, the modern Hotel Playa Camp de Mar has a total of 249 guest rooms, including 201 standard twin rooms, 42 singles, and a further 6 Suites, which are built over 8 floors and set amidst almost 2,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area overlooking the magnificent Bay of Camp de Mar.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either centrally heated or air conditioned according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a satellite television with music channel, safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, mini-bar and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, Suites at the Hotel Playa Camp de Mar also have a lounge area with additional sofa beds, along with tea/coffee making facilities, bathrooms which are supplied with bathrobes and slippers, as well as flowers and wine on arrival, and all guest rooms at the hotel are also provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with laundry and medical services, public internet terminals, a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with spacious sun terraces overlooking the beach which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a Jacuzzi and hard surface tennis court, as well as both pool and table tennis tables.

As part of the Thomson Gold programme, the Hotel Playa Camp de Mar also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities featuring aerobics, boules and table tennis, as well as evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

In recognition of the high levels of overall customer satisfaction, the Hotel Playa Camp de Mar has been awarded the Thomson Gold Medal Award Summer 2008.
