Hotel Playas del Rey - Santa Ponsa

The 3 star Hotel Playas del Rey is situated around 250 metres from the beach in the popular resort of Santa Ponsa on the south west coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 30km west of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and around 200 metres from the centre of the resort where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife.

Built in 1970 and fully refurbished during the winter of 2011, the modern low rise Hotel Playas del Rey has a total of 64 guest rooms, including 54 standard twin rooms and a further 10 singles, which are built over 5 floors, and set amidst spacious sun terraces and Mediterranean style gardens overlooking a central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, high speed WiFi internet access, a refrigerator, flat screen satellite television, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the magnificent Bay of Santa Ponsa. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with the a la carte Energia Restaurante, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, and the Energia Lounge with three trendy terraces from which to enjoy the best cocktails in town concocted by skilled bar staff.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include an ornamental garden and rooftop terrace with stunning sea views.
