Part of the Universal Hotels Group, the 1 star Hostel Floridita is situated high on
the Torrenova headland, in the lively resort of Magaluf on the south west coast of
Majorca. The hotel is approximately 20km west of the capital Palma and the Son Sant
Joan International airport, and around 800 metres from the centre of the resort, where
you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife.
Built over 4 floors the Hostel Floridita has a total of 38 guest rooms, all of which are simply furnished with a private bathroom, shower and toilet, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace with exterior views. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week. Guests staying at the Hostel Floridita are required to use the reception and guest facilities at the nearby Hotel Florida, which includes a 24 hour reception desk with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, a games room and both lounge and pool bars. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests at the Hotel Florida includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. The Hotel Florida also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week. From mid June to the end of August each year, guests staying at the Hostel Floridita are for the most part younger couples and young groups of friends. During this period there is a very lively atmosphere until late at night, and therefore may not be suitable for families, those travelling with young children, or guests looking for peace and quiet. Guests should also be aware that due to its cliff top location, this property is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
