Aparthotel Club Cala Barca - Cala d'or

Part of the prestigious Iberostar Group of hotels, the 4 star Aparthotel Club Cala Barca is situated at the edge of the secluded Barca Trencada cove, approximately 7km south of the popular resort of Cala d'or on the southern east coast of Majorca. The hotel is around 60km east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and 3km from the quiet resort of Porto Petro where you will find a small selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1989 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2008, the modern low rise Aparthotel Club Cala Barca has a total of 779 guest rooms, including 665 one bedroom self catering apartments, 32 duplex apartments and a further 66 studio flats, all of which are distributed between 25 two storey buildings, and set amidst almost 72,500m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a central pool area overlooking the magnificent Barca Trencada cove.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with an open plan kitchenette, a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, satellite television with music channels, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the Barca Trencada cove. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a games room, an air conditioned a la carte restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals, a supermarket, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Aparthotel Club Cala Barca also offers the use of 2 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, with the capacity to seat a maximum of 60 persons, both of which come equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment including, ADSL Internet connections, flip charts, projector screen and slide projectors.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club, plus three 15-minute pony rides around the ring.

For sports enthusiasts, the Aparthotel Club Cala Barca also offers the use of four tennis courts, two artificial grass courts and two fast tennis courts, where tennis matches are played and lessons are delivered by the Match Point Tennis School.

The Aparthotel Club Cala Barca also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
