The finca Cases de Son Barbassa is set in the undulating countryside in the northeastern corner of Mallorca. Surrounded by the natural park of 'De Llevant', the old houses with watchtowers dating from the sixteenth century are only a mile from the 700 year old town of Capdepera. Almond, olive, and carob trees grow naturally within the many acres of the finca.

The sandy beaches of Cala Mesquida, Cala Agulla and the golf courses of Capdepera and Canyamel are all within ten minutes drive in relation to each other, including the town of Cala Ratjada. As it is located at the foot of Puig de Son Barbassa, the country estate enjoys wonderful views overlooking the medieval Castle of Capdepera, the village itself and the natural park of Llevant.

In a strategic location within the country estate, the remains of the Talayotic people in Son Barbassa dating back approximately 3,000 years ago can be found. From there, splendid views overlooking the Mediterranean Sea can be enjoyed.

Furthermore, the finca has panoramic views over the slopes of the Arta Mountains and down to the coast, with the island of Menorca visible on a clear day. It has been carefully converted from historic buildings to offer tradition with a high level of comfort.

The Cases de Son Barbassa houses have 12 rooms available. Each of them is individual in character, with panoramic balconies, two suites and rooms for families with children. The double family room has two inter-communicating rooms. All rooms have air-conditioning, satellite television, mini bar, safety deposit box, hydro massage, bath or shower, hair dryer and bath robes.

The shared guest lounges are within the tower and the traditional kitchen has an inglenook fireplace. Both breakfast and dinner can be served on outdoor terraces surrounded by wild rose trees and the scent of lavender, or in the small indoor dining rooms, where guests can taste the products of the country estate. There is also a large swimming pool with furnished sun terraces.

The area also offers a wide variety of opportunities to play all kinds of water sports, such as diving, sailing and water skiing and it is an excellent place from which to go trekking or cycling.
