Part of the Hoteles Globales Group of hotels, the 3 star Hotel Santa Ponsa Playa, along with its sister hotels the Hotel Santa Ponsa Park and Hotel Pionero, is situated around 300 metres from the beach in the popular resort of Santa Ponsa on the south west coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 30km west of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and around 300 metres from the centre of the resort where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife.

Built in 1968 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2015, the modern low rise Hotel Santa Ponsa Playa has a total of 209 guest rooms, including 171 standard twin rooms and a further 38 singles, which are built over 4 floors, and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, overlooking a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and also have a ceiling fan and come equipped a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, all guest rooms at the hotel are also provided with a maid service undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, a games room and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the adjacent Hotel Pionero also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, seating a maximum of 50 people, which is equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids including projectors and screens.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

In addition to the facilities and services provided on site, guests staying at the Hotel Playa Santa Ponsa are also welcome to use the sporting and leisure facilities at both the adjacent Hotel Pionero and Hotel Santa Ponsa Park, which includes a children's playground and mini club, along with a smaller indoor heated swimming pool and sauna.

The Hotel Santa Ponsa Park also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
