Hotel Bahia del Sol - Santa Ponsa

Part of the Seetel Group of hotels, the 4 star Hotel Bahia del Sol is situated around 200 metres from the beach in the popular resort of Santa Ponsa on the south west coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 30km west of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and around 1km from the "Irish Quarter" of the resort where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife.

Built in 1973 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2002, the modern Hotel Bahia del Sol has a total of 209 guest rooms, including 189 twin rooms and a further 20 single rooms, which are distributed between the 8 storey main building and smaller “Chico” annexe block, all of which are then set amidst spacious sun terraces and Mediterranean style gardens.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, radio, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have sea views. In addition to the above, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, along with luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, public internet terminals, a games room, laundry and medical services, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with separate children’s section and spacious sun terraces and gardens furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a large and modern gym facility which is equipped with “LifeFitness” equipment featuring static bicycles, cross trainers and multi trainers along with an on-site cycle centre where guests can either hire bikes to enjoy the surroundings at their own pace or alternatively join the hotel's own resident professional cyclist on a guided tour.

The Hotel Bahia del Sol also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with live music and other professional shows several times each week.
