Part of the Eix Group of hotels, the 4 star Aparthotel Platja D'Aurada has an enviable front line location, overlooking the beach in the popular resort of C'an Picafort on the north coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 60km north of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and 100 metres from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1993 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2000, the modern low rise Aparthotel Platja D'Aurada has a total of 310 guest rooms, including 62 one bedroom self catering apartments, 208 twin rooms, 24 singles and a further 16 Suites, all of which are built over 5 floors, and set amidst almost 4,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area overlooking the magnificent Bay of Alcudia.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, hairdryer and cosmetic mirror, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, apartments at the Aparthotel Platja D'Aurada also have an open plan kitchenette with electric cooking rings and refrigerator, as well as a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, and all rooms at the hotel are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering guests a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian dishes, as well as a games room, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals, and both pool and lounge bars.

For business guests, the Aparthotel Platja D'Aurada also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, seating a maximum of 80 people, which is fully equipped with a selection of the latest state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment including flipcharts and a video projector.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens overlooking the sea which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, and both pool and table tennis tables.

For sports enthusiasts, the Aparthotel Platja D'Aurada also offers the use of a hard surface tennis court, mini golf course, as well as a multi-purpose sports activity area for five a side football and volleyball etc.

Guests staying at the Aparthotel Platja D'Aurada also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Health and Beauty Centre, which features a smaller indoor heated swimming pool with sauna, Jacuzzi and cardiovascular gymnasium, as well as offering a variety of other massage treatments.

The Aparthotel Platja D'Aurada also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle and pistol shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
