The 2 star rated Hotel Playa Blanca is situated around 250 metres from the beach in the quiet resort of S'Illot on the
central east coast of Majorca.
The hotel is approximately 65km north east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and 150 metres from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. Built in 1990 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2001, the modern Hotel Playa Blanca has a total of 102 guest rooms, including 88 double rooms and a further 14 singles, which are built over 6 floors and set amidst almost 1,000m² of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area. All guest rooms at the hotel are centrally heated during the cooler winter months and come equipped with a modern fully fitted bathroom with shower along with a safety deposit box available for rental, pay per view satellite television, direct dial telephone and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week. Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception desk with currency exchange services, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, public internet terminals, luggage rooms for late departures, a games room, laundry and medical services and lounge bar with satellite television. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with separate children’s splash pool, and spacious terraces which are furnished with sun loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a smaller indoor swimming pool with gymnasium and sauna as well as mini golf and both pool and table tennis tables. The Hotel Playa Blanca also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
