Part of the Sentido Group of hotels, the 4 star Hotel Punta del Mar is situated on a rocky headland in the quiet Costa de la Calma district of the popular resort of Santa Ponsa on the south west coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 30km west of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and around 1km from both the Santa Ponsa resort centre with its wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops, and the wide sandy resort beach.

Built in 1988 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2012, the modern Hotel Punta del Mar has a total of 243 guest rooms, offering a choice of 185 twin rooms, and a further 58 Junior and Superior Suites, all of which are built over 7 floors, and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the magnificent Bay of Santa Ponsa.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Punta del Mar also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, which is equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large split level freshwater swimming pool with a waterfall for adults, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel Punta del Mar also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Spa and Wellness Centre, which features a further indoor heated pool with sauna, Turkish bath and jacuzzi along with a small fitness room.

The Hotel Punta del Mar also provides a seasonal programme evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
