Part of the prestigious Riu Group of hotels, the 3 star Hotel Riu Playa Park is situated around 350 metres from the beach in the Ses Cadenes district of the lively resort of Playa de Palma on the central southern coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 12km east of the capital Palma, 5km south east of the Son Sant Joan International airport, and a few steps from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1967, the Hotel Riu Playa Park has a total of 362 guest rooms, including 36 single rooms and a further 326 doubles, which are built over 9 floors and set amidst 14,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, ceiling fan, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes two large 240m2 outdoor freshwater swimming pools with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground, along with a smaller 32m2 indoor heated pool, open during the cooler winter months, and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Riu Playa Park also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring boules, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
