Hotel Sol Cala Antena - Calas de Mallorca

Part of the prestigious Sol Melia Group of hotels, the 3 star rated Hotel Sol Cala Antena is situated around 400 metres from the Cala Antena beach in the popular resort of Calas de Mallorca on the picturesque east coast of Majorca.

The hotel is approximately 60km east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and around 600 metres from the centre of the resort where you will find a selection of restaurants, bars and shops.

Built in 1972 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2004, the modern Hotel Sol Cala Antena has a total of 363 guest rooms, including 277 twin rooms that are situated in a 7 storey main building, along with a further 38 twin rooms and 48 two bedroom family rooms which are distributed between 3 additional low rise annexe buildings, all of which are set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and cosmetic mirror, along with a direct dial telephone, high speed WiFi internet access, a satellite television with international channels, a safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace with exterior views.

In addition to the above features, all guest rooms are also provided with a daily maid service undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services and both luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with public internet terminals, a games room, laundry and medical services, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show-cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a outdoor freshwater swimming pools for adults, with separate children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

The Hotel Sol Cala Antena also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring aerobics, archery and various water sports, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

During the summer months, the Hotel Sol Cala Antena is especially popular with families travelling with young children, and during this time, alongside the numerous adult activities, the resident Sol Animation team also provide themed children's clubs, with the Club 4 being suitable for 1 to 4 years, Club 8 for 5 to 8 year olds, Club 13 for 9 to 13 years and the Teen Club from 14 to 17 years. Guests are advised that some activities will carry a supplementary charge payable locally.
